De-sexing

Pet puppies are to be spayed or neutered.

Males
Male pet puppies should be de-sexed at the age of around 5-6 months. This reduces the pups need to mark it’s territory from other males and roaming around looking for females. It also eliminated unwanted litters and eliminated sexually transmitted diseases.

Eliminates or reduces the risk of testicular cancel and other certain kinds of tumors.

Females
Female puppies should be de-sexed at the age of around 6 months. This will keep away male dogs in the neigbourhood which could cause unwanted litters.

Un-desexed female pups will come into season from the age of 6- 12 months and will bleed for around 3 weeks every 6 months approx.
De-sexed females eliminates or reduces the occurance of certain tumors including mammary, overian and uterine tumors.
